Small Business Management Tip Number 3: Delegate your Tasks

Small Business managers or owners found it difficult to delegate the task. Difficult in the sense that you are aware that if you have delegated a particular task to a dedicated staff, it feels like you are giving up your control. As a business manager, it is very important for you to take charge of everything. You should know everything about the business operation. However, there will come a point wherein you have to decide to give up some task and delegate it to your staff so that you can focus to more important matters.

To make delegation easy, you should do it slowly. You cannot simply turn the switch on and pinpoint who among your staff will do this and will do that. This won’t be difficult if you are just going to slowly delegate and teach your staff to make decisions towards a more efficient and more successful business.

If you are going to delegate, you can find more free time to grow your business. You can review some areas wherein you find it uncomfortable to delegate to a dedicated staff and establish your company as being independent. Through delegation, you can empower your employees. If you have empowered your employees, you are giving them the accountability and develop a sense of ownership. This will gradually turn into a more loyal and dependable employees.

Surviving Small Business on Economic Crisis

The first thing that you need to consider when starting a small business especially on these tough times is your interest. The passion that you will be putting in your business has a major impact on your business success. It is always important that you have the sense of direction on your business venture.

Economic crisis is nothing if you are well prepared with your business plan. This plan should always be coupled with action. You can drag your family to your business and get them involve with your action plans.

The most common reason why some small business was not able to survive the crisis is because of the misuse of the resources. Building Foundation of Small Business on Values

The core for business success is values. When we say values, we are actually referring to the things that matters most. What really is important for you and your business? The obvious answer is money. In the first place, this is the main reason why you are starting a business. But there must be something that you need to consider beyond money. Think again and evaluate if it is really money that gives you happiness. Put an emotion toward it and search for more answers. What really are the values that you need to implement to your business? You might bump to some ideas such as security perhaps, or acknowledgment, fulfillment, freedom, or prestige. Whatever is the answer to that question, if you put your emotions and your feelings, then those are your values. It is not necessarily money as it is only a tool to get those values.

Structure your business in such a way that it will support your values. The decision is all yours, from what work to do, who will do it and how are you going to operate it. Know your values so that you can navigate your business in such a way that it will always resemble with your values. If your business and your values are in conflict with each other, then this will create an unpleasant atmosphere. Create a business that will honor your values.
