[tweetmeme source=”LilBizBigWorld” only_single=false] A recent global research by Regus found that 85% of US Businesses have resorted to offering their employees flexible working solutions which proves beneficial to both employers and employees alike.

Flexibility in the workplace are getting more attention now more than ever as businesses of all sizes try to survive the credit crunch. There are various forms of flexibility. Some companies offer work-at-home opportunities, others have flex time and some even have a compressed work week. Having a flexible working solution is not a favor that businesses give to employees.

Business owners opt to implement a flexible working solution because let’s face it, overhead costs would decrease. Not to mention, the staff would ideally be more productive. How? Simple. Employees who have a healthy work-life balance tend to be more active and happy. This in turn has a positive effect on their production. The associated benefits of flexible working makes this the norm and it shows no sign of letting up. Flexible working may have started out as a trend but as business owners and employees continually see its benefits, this is fast becoming the standard especially for small businesses.
