I definitely agree with Diane on her post about Customer Loyalty Reward Programs: A Way to Increase Revenue. I myself have experienced it with our local department stores here in PH.

Say for example the SM Advantage Card. SMs in PH are one of the ideal shopping centers in PH which offer greta value and quality products and with their SM Advantage Cards, it entice shoppers to buy more in exchange of reward points which later on the year , most of the time  Christmas season, we can claim those points. Shop anything you want inside SM using the points garnered. It really works. There is that certain psychological factor in shoppers which is beneficial for SM because we became loyal to them.

I just cited my experience as an example to let you know that customer loyalty strategies  really works. You might as well consider it and plan for your strategies too.
