The Google+ Project is indeed a social networking site and it integrates your Google profiles and Google Buzz. There are many features which are similar to other social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You could organize your contacts into groups, upload videos and photos for sharing, you could also see updates from contacts via “Stream” (much like Facebook’s news feed and Twitter’s timeline) and of course, in answer to Facebook’s “like” button, there’s a +1 button for Google+ which is designed to signal approval of a contact’s post.
In general, Google+ seems to be very promising and the only downside to it is that business profiles aren’t available yet. Sure, Facebook has its Pages and at the onset, it didn’t have that when it first started. The idea was to connect people and firms who are constantly trying to innovate saw its potential for marketing.
As Google Inc. rushes to create special business profiles which would be available “later this year”, businesses are on the edge of their seat for what Google+ has to offer. Since Google+ tries to connect all its services in this project, business owners try to figure out what perks and additional features it would have. As of now though, we just need to sit tight and hold our breath for the much-awaited Google+ experience for businesses. When it is already available, we would then know whether it is worth the wait as we all hope it is.
